MR. IRA SLAVIT: Hi, my name is Ira Slavit and I'm with the law firm Levine & Slavit, a law firm founded by my grandfather Lewis Levine back in around 1930. And I also work with my father, Leonard Slavit, and he practiced with his father in law for quite a number of years.

We have an office in New York City that now consists of my father and I. For the first ten years it was three generations, my grandfather, my father and I. I have been with Levine and Slavit since 1985. I've been a member of the New York State Bar since 1984 and I am also admitted in the states of Florida and New Jersey.

It's been very interesting starting out working with my grandfather and father, being able to step into a firm that was well established dealing with person injury cases, all different types of accidents, automobile accidents, accidents occurring in buildings, medical malpractice cases and have the benefit of all those years of experience.

In fact, a lot of the documents, legal documents, pleadings and those are particulars that we use now in the different types of cases, the auto cases, different accident cases and malpractice cases are based upon documents that my grandfather was using many years ago but are still relevant quite useful in today's legal practice.

We have cases in all of the boroughs of New York City: Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. In addition, we now have an office on Long Island where we handle cases in Nassau County and Suffolk County. And besides the suburbs to the east of New York City, we also handle cases in the northern suburbs such as Westchester, Rockland County and Orange County.
