These motion seats retail for approximately $160.00 to $200.00. The seats feature a number of soothing features that include bouncing, vibrating, and swaying, while also playing music. The affected models were sold nationwide between November 2015 and October 2017 online and in retail stores, such as Buy Buy Baby, Target, Toys R Us, Walmart, and Amazon, among others.

There were over thirty-six reports of the Motion Seats overheating, with one report claiming that the actual motor went on fire within the motor’s housing unit.   • Fisher-Price Soothing Motion Seat:
    • CMR35;
    • CMR36;
    • CMR37; and
    • DYH22.
  • Smart Connect Soothing Motion Seat:
    • CMR39.

Fisher-Price along with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that consumers contact Mattel at 800-432-5437 with any questions, concerns, comments, or assistance with a product refund.
