Single-Engine Plane Crashes in New York Residential Neighborhood

On April 10, 2016 a small Piper 28 plane crashed in a residential neighborhood on Long Island, injuring both the pilot and passenger. The plane was heading to Upstate New York from the Bayport Aerodrome, and hit the tops of trees and utility lines, causing the crash to occur.

The plane reportedly contained a single engine which had some sort of failure. Luckily the plane crashed onto an intersection of two streets in a residential area, instead of crashing into a home or other structure in the neighborhood.
